Meet my friend Andreina.
She exemplifies classic beauty with an urban twist. Brooklyn girl at heart and relatively new to New York City but it seems as if she has been living there since like forever. We have been friends since my freshman year of college. We met through my roommate at the time and ever since we have become very good friends. I’ve always been intrigued by her creativity and the unique way in which she showcases her personality through her clothing and style. She is a doll.

Andi, describe your personal style.

Hmm, that’s tricky. I’d definitely say it’s evolved since high school (when Forever 21 was all I knew) into this weird combination of whatever emotions I’m feeling that day? I like a good moto-jacket but I also love pearls. I don’t know, I pretty much draw inspiration from anything that makes me do a double take. CARA DELEVINGNE!

What draws you to New York? Why did you choose to move here?

I’d have to say the culture of success paired with the HUGE influx of self-expression and diversity is what led me here. It was the first thing I noticed when I got off the plane, the food, the colors; I yearned for it all back once I left.

In what ways has New York impacted your style?

That’s the thing about New York; the streets inevitably inspire you. Exploring Brooklyn especially has made me want to incorporate more edgy pieces into my look. I have never wanted spiked combat boots/beanies/flat bills so bad! The vibe is something else over there.

What do you consider to be a must-have accessory?

Since it’s winter I’m going to say a great scarf!

Do you think that living in a trendy city like New York pressures you to maintain your style and dress up daily?

Well, I don’t really look at is as pressure. I’ve always been enthusiastic about dressing up in the mornings, in high school I used to color code my closet and prepare my outfits the night before! Haha. I’d say I thoroughly enjoy examining what other people around me are dressed up in. Everyone brings something new and unique to the table and I’m really fortunate to live in the middle of it all!

I couldn’t see her living anywhere else!
She easily blends in the City  and fabulously struts daily through it as a true New Yorker. Andi, je t’aime!

À très bientôt,
